I sure hate to kill a dog when it wasn't it's fault. No lost love between me and my neighbors. I have 5 acres and my young son had kind of a bad episode with dogs once and is terrified of them. (I haven't had a dog since my last shorthair died on me when I lived in Nebraska) . He is afraid of playing on our own property. The whole situation has given me the red ass and my wits are nearly shorted out. It is preferable to hand the situation over the the law. This is just a tender subject for me. Thx for the idea. I don't like to see a dog chained up....but I do have one pet peeve, it's those ass holes who live our here in the rual parts of the county and let their dogs run around. I asked a neighbor of mine if he lets his cows and horses run around loose....so why do you let your dogs run around loose....hence all over my property. I have asked, then warned neighbors about the consequences of them just letting their dogs run free. They speak of freedom...but I guess their idea of freedom is doing what ever they please with no thought to impact to others. Sorry, but I love dogs, but I swear to hell, there are atleast three dogs that live up the road and have had a complete ass full of the situation. They (the dogs) broke into my fenced off back yard and killed my daughters cat. It is sad for me to say and it is not the dog's fault, but those dogs are on 'death row' ...I'm just waiting for a safe shot for my .17 After 7 years of living here, I have had enough.
