Not sure how the Gretsch works for you now (although I hope to soon) but the Frankenstrat surely fit you back then. I hope the low life fuck who stole it got his due, one way of the other....... And as one of the few people on this planet who knew you then and knows you now, the one truth that pops out of this story is that the Frankenstrat WAS the perfect extension of your personality then, and the Gretsch is the perfect guitar to fill that role now. You reinvented yourself over the decades, and your current guitar totally reflects the persona you've become. It's the perfect embodiment of the Clarence Worly package, right down to the goddamn color. ("Fuck you! It's light blue!") You've gone from the butt-rock that was so perfectly delivered by the obnoxious Frankenstrat (I also dug that axe) to the buzzsaw psychobilly accurately driven by the souped-up hollowbody you strangle with so much authority.
